Pharm Phantasy Series

Curt Billings contacted me a while back and wanted to know exactly who started and when the letter “F” was replaced with the “Ph” on pharm signs, t-shirts, and other written materials. I told him that it has been a part of pharm vernacular since the 60’s but didn’t recall exactly when it was first used or by whom. I have a hunch that its origin might have been on the veranda outside of the main kitchen one evening after too much wine (not orange juice) was consumed and our normal speech patterns were altered and auditory abilities impaired.
I do however know of at least a dozen or two old pharm hands who would be willing to accept full credit for its conception but I suspect we will never know exactly where it came from or when. This next poem “Pharm Phonetics” was written in the early 70’s and the “Ph’ was already being transposed in most letters and documents by Michael and by almost all other pharm pholks, especially myself. Hope you enjoy it!
