< Riegel Entry No. 5, Pharm Phonetics > Pharm Phantasy Series Curt Billings contacted me a while back and wanted to know exactly who started and when the letter “F” was replaced with the “Ph” on pharm signs, t-shirts, and other written materials. I told him that it has been a part of pharm vernacular since the 60’s but didn’t recall exactly when it was first used or by whom. I have a hunch that its origin might have been on the veranda outside of the main kitchen one evening after too much wine (not orange juice) was consumed and our normal speech patterns were altered and auditory abilities impaired.
